How do I know if I am entitled to a Free Van MOT?
If you are eligible for the offer you will receive correspondence confirming your eligibility and Unique Booking Code.
This offer is only valid for a Free MOT on class 7 vehicles only as determined by DVSA here.
How do I find my local MOT centre and book my Free Van MOT?
You can find further details of our carefully selected MOT centres local to you by using the 'Regions' tab or the ‘Search’ option, at the top of the page once you have chosen your local area the participating MOT centres for this area will be listed.
- When you are ready to book your Free MOT, call the Take Time Reservations Department on 01565 831 816
- We recommend choosing a few suitable options/dates, in order of preference
- The Take Time Reservations Department phone line is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, excluding public and Bank Holidays
- Call charges may vary and calls may be recorded and monitored
- Please note, you can only book your Free MOT between 1 - 28 days prior to the date that you wish the Free MOT to take place. Same day bookings are not permitted.
Where can I find my unique booking code?
Your unique booking code is featured on your accompanying correspondence.
Do I need to take anything with me when I go for my Free Van MOT?
Yes, please take the correspondence from our Take Time Reservations Department which includes confirmation of your Unique Booking Code and MOT appointment details with you.
Can I just turn up at my local MOT centre and book directly with them?
No. MOT bookings must come directly through our Take Time Reservations Department, should you turn up at the MOT test centre without us arranging the appointment, you are liable to pay the full cost of your MOT.
What happens if my vehicle fails its MOT?
If your vehicle fails its MOT test, you will be given the option to have the vehicle repaired and an additional charge will apply for any parts and labour. Any additional works required are not included in the offer.
If you have additional works done you then have the option of a retest. Payment for additional works and/or a retest will need to be settled with the MOT test centre directly by you, the customer. The retest will be charged at the MOT test centre's standard MOT test fee.
How long do I have to book my Free Van MOT?
Your Unique Booking Code is valid for 12 months from the date stated on your accompanying correspondence.
Can I change my mind after I have made an MOT booking?
Once you have chosen and booked your MOT appointment, we cannot make any changes or cancellations. If you choose to cancel your booking, your Unique Booking Code will become void and no monies will be refunded.
What happens when we have made the booking?
Once your booking has been initially confirmed with the Take Time Reservations Department and your chosen MOT centre, they will send you a customer confirmation by email or post, which confirms the full booking details. We kindly ask that you take this confirmation with you and present it on arrival.
